Sunbanks Day 2: Dancing in the Rain

Waking up can be hard!

Especially after a long night of dancing accompanied by some good drinks!

With the group we are staying with, each couple takes one meal. We did breakfast! (Or more accurately, Denice did.)

I (Denice) am used to cooking for 70+ for community meals, so I have a fairly large repertoire of good -easy to make- meals. For a breakfast, I love to do breakfast burritos. I prep them ahead with a mix of sausage and eggs, rolled and set into casserole pans. On the morning of, you just brush them down with melted butter and pop them in the oven. Paired with some fruit and cinnamon rolls, these are always a fan favorite. Although I prefer to eat a more mellow breakfast of oatmeal myself!

The morning started off bright, literally, with shining sun, and figuratively, with good music right away! We of course jumped into dancing immediately. The next few dancing videos were actually part of 14 minutes almost straight of dancing. Three songs in a row left us winded, but we had a great time!

It is great to see everyone up having fun and dancing!

However, the sun didn’t hold out… But that didn’t stop us from embracing the rain, and the craziness, and still having fun dancing and rallying our group together for an impromptu kitchen performance!

The festival is great simply because everyone wants to have fun together! Rain or shine, festival stage or condo kitchen, we are all here to enjoy each other and great music! Our little group who stayed together, plus some additional friends, and the legendary Lew Schmngy, all came together to weather out the rain and keep the party going!

And, eventually, the rain did let up! And the music was right back on! Despite the brief pause, we continued to enjoy phenomenal festival music late into the night.

So, for now, cheers to good friends and good times rain or shine!
