Kurt Lindsay at Lake City Pub
Let’s be honest… when it comes to live music Saturdays at Lake City Pub, we pretty much always try to make it! It is one of our favorite places after all. They recently released their June and July lineups, and we are excited to make as many as possible!
We hadn’t heard Kurt Lindsay before, but the performers at Lake City Pub are always pretty great! So, we figured we couldn’t go wrong, and planned to meet our daughter there for drinks and the music.
Pretty much from the moment Kurt started on stage, we were hooked. His natural stage presence was obvious, cracking jokes and setting up a relationship with the audience. And then he started singing… Finding someone who has a natural stage presence with incredible musical talent is a rare combination. And one to be thoroughly enjoyed when found!
We enjoyed both sitting and laughing as well as listening to the music and dancing! We had a great chance to get to dance right up near the stage.

When 9pm rolled around and Kurt finished his set for the night, we were pretty shocked it was already over. This is one of the first times we have all agreed that the night flew by faster than we even noticed. At the end of two hours, we thought we had only been sitting there for a few minutes!
We got a chance to chat for a bit afterwards and thank him for a fantastic night of entertainment. We mentioned wanting to talk about the evening on our blog, and he said he had even heard of it at one point. We are still blown away by how many people are enjoying this blog and the concept! We love the chance to promote fantastic local artists like Kurt, and great hometown bars like Lake City Pub!
And even more, we love encouraging couples to embrace each other and enjoy time in life with each other. It isn’t always roses and rainbows, but we love getting to spend time with each other and have evenings like this being out and having fun! Finding ways to reconnect after kids are grown, or any other stage of life, is so important. Life gets busy but creating a strong foundation through the good times is the best way to hold tight during the tough ones! So never hesitate to set time aside to spend as a couple, just enjoying each other and the life you have together!
We can’t wait to catch Kurt at one of his next shows! We’ve already got July 13th at Vinifera Wine Bar and Bistro at 6:00pm on our calendar. If you can catch one of his shows, make sure to do so. He is not someone you want to miss out on!
