Sunday Morning at Immanuel Lutheran Church
10:30am on Sunday morning, seated in chairs in the sanctuary waiting for Pastor Garrett to start his sermon. Immanuel Lutheran Church (ILC) is our favorite place to be on a Sunday morning!
We’ve attended different churches over the years, and one of the things we love about ILC is how they use their building to love and serve their community. After years of working with the church in providing shelter and food for individuals facing houselessness via the Freezing Nights ministry, we started regularly attending services here a couple years ago. From Sunday morning church, and afternoon community meals, to Christmas Eve services that combine fellowship with giving to those in need, ILC routinely demonstrates Christ’s love to everyone!
It was a joy to hear this morning that the building was used this past week for the local high school to complete their AP testing. Pastor Garrett read a card sharing their appreciation for the ways in which the Church gives back to the community. ILC truly lives out its purpose!
