Getting Ready on the Go
Denice: In case I haven’t said it before, we pack a lot in to our weeks! And even when we are out playing, we still like to be on the go and going fast! So sometimes that means I need a little refresh on the go. But that is just an excuse to buy new makeup!
Sure I love my fancy brands and trips to Ulta or Sephora. I have my favorite moisturizers or foundation that I will only buy there. But that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy some glittery stuff from Target! Besides, you really just can’t go wrong with Target.
Actually, drug store makeup can sometimes be better. Paying for high quality makeup can be incredibly important in some categories. But when I want to try 6 different eye shadow sticks, or buy something fun for a midday refresh, Target is the way to go!
On this particular day, we had done lunch at a cafe, wine tasting in the country, and were on our way for dancing at a bar downtown. I was in need of a pick me up (so Starbucks at Target was an added bonus!).
Target Haul
Elf is one of my new favorite brands!
There were a few basics I had to get:
Eye Shadow
Lipstick
Concealer
Lashes
Highlighter
This lipstick is perfect! I prefer to go a little more wild with my eye makeup, so something neutral but fun for my lipstick, that will last while drinking wine, is ideal.
Who doesn’t love gold and pink! Besides, sparkly blush and glowing highlighter all in one is a win in my book. This on top of the concealer achieves the refreshed look I was going for rather than looking like I had already been out and about all day (which we had!).
And here is the finished look on my eyes! Sparkly and bright, I even used some of the blush on top to add the pinky sparkle. I enjoy eye-liner, but fake lashes give an added pop that I’ve never seen with lashes. Definitely part of my new night-out routine!
I have a set of magnetic false eye-lashes I love, but they take a lot of getting used to when applying. If you are trying it for the first time, don’t be discouraged! Try putting them on before doing any other makeup, and make sure to give yourself enough time. Practice makes perfect!
And now I am ready!
Time for Zeek and I to go dance the night away with good wine, food, and music! Target truly can make any day out a little bit better ;)
