Friday Evening at Mill Haus
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family! We celebrated at home with our kids and parents, which included eating too much good food and ending the day with Christmas movies. Altogether a fantastic celebration together.
In years past, Thanksgiving would have included scanning through the newspaper for the best Black Friday deals. Simultaneously the kids, both sharpies in hand, would be scanning through toy catalogues from Target to Fredmeyers, American Girl to Michaels, and many more, circling the things they wanted for Christmas. Now, our Christmas shopping long completed by the Thanksgiving holiday, we get to spend Black Friday leisurely enjoying each other’s company. The day started with a walk at our favorite local park and then a swim and a soak at the YMCA, one of our luxuries now-a-days. And of course, the evening promised to hold fantastic entertainment of our favorite type - live music!
Kurt Lindsay at the Mill Haus
That’s right! We knew Kurt Lindsay was going to be playing at the Mill Haus in Eatonville which meant we had to spend our Friday evening right there! In case you weren’t aware, Kurt is one of our favorites to get to go see. His energy, his humor, his talent; it all adds up to the best way to spend an evening.
The Mill Haus is an amazing location in Eatonville; one of the few of its kind, especially in southern Pierce County. While the summer crowd isn’t always our thing, it made for a fantastically cozy way to spend a cold fall evening! Their indoor cabin-esque seating venue was the perfect combination of homey and fun, a great setting for Kurt’s music. We enjoyed their cider with the entertainment, the winter pear cider being our favorite of the evening!
