Product Reviews: Week 2 on Menofit

It has officially been two weeks on menofit!

(If you didn’t catch the original post make sure to check it out here.)

I’m (Denice) both excited and a little disappointed. Albeit, I will admit, the disappointment is probably my own pride. My weight actually went up half a pound to 128... But maybe that was chocolate pie on Father’s Day that I couldn’t stay out of! It may have set me back a few days getting on track. As like many folks, the more I stay away from simple sugars the better I can stay on track. Stay tuned for more ideas to curb cravings that I will be sharing in coming product review posts!

However, on the side of excitement, my night sweats are gone!!!! And we had the hottest weekend this year last weekend so that’s impressive to me. My daily hot flashes are also greatly reduced in general. Both of these things are very exciting to see!

There was a moment that briefly felt like a setback in the area of hot flashes, but I think it may be one of those things I just have to be careful about. We visited Cockrell Hard Cider in downtown Puyallup on Saturday (during the 90+ degree heat) and sat outside in the grass in direct sun. Other than risk of a sunburn, I wasn’t really worried. But within about half an hour the heat began to feel completely overwhelming, and my head started throbbing. I’m good about hydrating and had just eaten some protein, so I could rule out dehydration and hunger. After determining it must be the heat, we moved into the shade. While this helped, I still felt hot, and my extreme headache did not want to go away. I wondered if it was the sun paired with a hot flash. We eventually left so I could get out of the sun, and, while the headache dulled significantly, it never really went away. That is one of the first times I’ve experienced such a quick reaction to the heat, and I’ve never had a headache from being in the heat too long. I’m still not exactly sure why I had such an extreme reaction, but it was good for me to realize that avoiding potential hot flash triggers might be important!

Overall, I am definitely seeing positive effects! Zeek is happy that I am feeling improvements but feels that this may be too early for him to give any commentary on effect (it is only 2 weeks afterall). So, as a wise man once said… his comment is nothing ;)

Now, this product is expected to fulfill its greatest potential at three months so stay tuned! I’ll try to post updates/check ins about every two weeks on product review Wednesday. I am looking forward to (hopefully) seeing some more progress in weeks to come!

So, for now, cheers to progress and improvement, whatever form it may take :)
