Lew Schmngy at Lake City Pub
Lew Schmngy, if you’ve been to Lake City Pub, you’ve seen old records with this name on it hanging on the wall. Lew Schmngy, neither the name of the artist nor the band, is a cornerstone of the live music scene here.
Of course, Lake City Pub is always one of our favorite spots to spend Saturday evenings. The atmosphere feels like home when you walk in. With a bottle of Argento and a plate of the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, we are all settled in for the music!
We’ve seen Lew Schmngy perform before and love dancing to their music! We even got to dance a little closer to the stage this evening because of how folks were seated!
This next one took us a bit off guard with the mashup of different Elvis Presly songs. He laughed afterwards that he was a little worried it would take us too off guard, but while it kept us on our toes we had lots of fun keeping up with the unexpected twists in lyrics!
We got to talking with them after the show! Joel and Todd are both so sweet and fun to be around. They really make the evening a joyous occasion to laugh and have fun while out. You really can’t ask for anything else!
No Lake City Pub post would be complete without a recognition of the fantastic staff! We really are learning how much of a difference a devoted staff makes to our evening, and the staff at Lake City is simply the best. We got Gell this evening, who was one of our first servers. We absolutely adore seeing her and were thrilled she agreed to a picture and a shoutout on the blog! There is truly no one better than the staff at Lake City Pub!
Well, before we knew it, it was after 10pm and well past time for us to be heading home. We love evenings at Lake City Pub, and it is too easy to lose track of time sipping good drinks, eating delicious food, and enjoying the folks around!
