Dancing at the Irish Pub
Where Billy Stoops and Leanne Trevalyan play, we follow!
This week, it was at The TK Irish Pub in downtown Puyallup.
We’ve been to TK’s before, and this is a literal hole in the wall pub. Dancing room isn’t plentiful, but good food, audience, and music certainly is!
The folks are TK’s are phenomenal. Staff and regulars alike. Jewel duals as server and bartender, and she waited on us this evening. She is incredibly attentive and makes sure everyone has what they want no matter the crowd!
We had a great time dancing to Billy and Leanne’s music! The blog even got a shout out from the stage. It is great to hear the appreciation from the community and the way this can bring people together.
After the shoutout from Billy, we had a couple approach us and ask more. They have four kids ranging from 18-24 and all still living at home! We get that. Despite considering ourselves empty nesters, our 20-year-old son does still live at home. He is working full time and going to school full time so he really has a life of his own. But we love still getting that family time in occasionally. However that makes it just all that more important to plan time to get out and enjoy each other!
More than a few of our regular group of friends that all follow Billy and Leanne were unfortunately home sick for the evening. At one point in the evening I (Zeek) heard one of the patrons “talking” to them, and realized they were live streaming the event for folks stuck at home! They even had the live stream set up so they could talk to the folks at home and include them in the conversation with table in between sets. Making sure, despite being stuck home sick, they weren’t missing out on all the fun!
This was just one of those little things that makes us smile. It warms our hearts to be part of this little group of local musicians, fans, establishments, and everyone else involved.
